Does anyone have Nate Robertson on their team? I do. Last night, he's pitching against the Yankees - 2 outs in the 9th, going for the complete game, the count 1-2 against Miguel Cairo. He throws a pitch that looked like a strike and he starts off the mound but the umpire calls it a ball. Then ball 2...then ball 3, then Cairo gets a hit. Then Leyland takes him out of the game. No complete game. Boy was I cranky.

You must've been even more mad that Robinson pitched 8.2 innings and earned six runs. But I think his 7 strikeouts were excellent and may have covered up his relatively high ERA of 3.42 in your fantasy league. His record is now 5-3 with that loss, and he is a decent pitcher to have in the middle of your rotation.

What you didn't mention, ThePundit, was that the batter ahead of Cairo (Melky Cabrera) hit a single to CF and stole second while Cairo was at bat. That put Cabrera into scoring position for Cairo's RBI-single to left. Cairo ended up with a double on the shot, though because he advanced on the throw. The Tigers pulled in Walker who gave uo a run against the next batter, Jason Giambi, as he doubled to deep right.

The complete game would have given me a 1-0 lead in that category. And complete games are impossible to come by. Just one strike away....
