Cool Re: DelGado

What is with this guy? Take away his first month of the season and he's just been brutal.

Re: DelGado

His stats look awful for the past month plus. However, he still remains the figurehead in the middle of the Mets line-up (if for nothing else, to scare pitchers). But that shift angers me whenever I see it. Why won't he attempt to bunt or do whatever possible to send the pitch down the left field line. Even Ortiz did it once last year I believe.

Re: DelGado

Yeesh, I really need to go check on my team. He's been in my starting lineup all season, and I haven't popped in to take a look in weeks. How bad ARE his numbers right now?

Take out that first month and his numbers are brutal. 3 more weeks in my regular season. I'm in 4th place and only 1.5 games out of 3rd and 2.5 games out of 2nd. 2nd place gets a first round bye. Trade deadline just passed yesterday so DelGado better start hitting. I'm not asking for 5 homers a week but how about not going 0 for 4 every day?

Re: DelGado

Reasonable desire.

What is the Playoff qualification spot in your league, ThePundit?

Cool Re: DelGado

The top 6 of 18 get in. But the top 2 get a first round bye. Also, there are regular season prizes so the higher I finish the more money I get. And DelGado started off the week 0 for 2.

Re: DelGado

You seem in a pretty safe position right now. I can't tell you how much money you will win, but it looks like you are getting into the playoffs. Good luck in the post-season!

You should have realized that Delgado isn't going to try his hardest now since the season is coming to a closure. The Mets are definitely invited to the Playoffs so they are weakening the weight on their starters shoulders. It would be nice for them to win games, but they don't want to risk injuries at this point in the season. I'd explore the other first-basemans on your bench for now, but I would go with Delgado in the post-season. Catch my drift?

Re: DelGado

Lately, Carlos Delgado has been colder than ice.

Delgado by the Numbers:.000 in his last 17AB. Ouch!

Re: DelGado

Can any of the other players on your team slide into the first-base slot.

I have Lance Berkman and Shawn Green so I can play them in either the OF or at 1B. That is one of the main reasons why I would consider getting them. I call them "adaptions" since they always change positions according to my personal needs of that particular day or so.

Huzzah! And I forgot to bench him, too. Hooray, forgetfulness!

Re: DelGado

You must be very pleased, Lefty Noob, because of your incredible luck.

It is about time we see some improvement in Delgado's numbers.

Nice avatar, The Pundit. Is it new? I haven't noticed it.
