do you guys think clemens is worth the wait and roster spot..I thought he was going to pitch monday but besides that Im wondering if he will throw like he used to..

Tough call... I have a feeling he's gonna miss a lot of starts this summer due to injury or fatigue, and since he's pitching in the American League, his ERA will sky-rocket (no pun intended) and his K's per inning will drop dramatically.

If you fill up the roster spot with someone really good, I'd drop Clemens.... But if the next best available player is.... Kei Igawa (or someone like that), hold on to the Rocket and see what happens.

I thought he had been sidleined again ??? Injury ??? They are saying right now that he will not pitch against Chicago. Maybe next Saturday.

Right now he is costing George nothing but as soon as he is on the mound it is $150K plus. Pretty expensive for a has been who is injured.

a guy in my league dropped him and I picked him up and let a.j burnett go but dont know if that was wise or not..

I have AJ on my Yahoo team, and he's given me a ton of K's (12 in his last start) and a couple wins. His ERA and WHIP, on the other hand, are a bit too high.

yea no doubt hes been racking up k's but Im just thinking hes not gonna give me many wins..

It depends on your current pitching staff, and your standings slot.

Yes. Remember it's only early June so if you can be patient, hold him. if you drop him, he's going to be claimed in about 1/2 a second.

I stay far away from Clemens this year. He is pitching in the AL, not the easier NL. I say he is not productive this year at all. He will get hit hard and often, and at his age this should be it.

Yeah, he hasn't had that many impressive performances in the minors.

It only gets harder on the way up.

All I'm saying is, if you have no better options, why release him? If anything try to trade him.

He might not be what he once was but he is still going to give you K's and WHIP - at minimum.
