I was offered OF Gary Matthews Jr. for Ryan Freel (seems like he plays everything, 2B/3B/LF/RF/CF...).

My OFs aren't hurting, I have Carlos Beltran, Alex Rios, Jeff Francouer, Reggie Wilts, Craig Monroe, Josh Willingham and Jack Cust.

I figure if I do the trade I'll have even more of a logjam in the OF spots than I already do. Plus with Freel, he adds a bit of flex for me since he has both the IF and OF capabilities.

So, does anyone think I should do the trade? Thanks.

As long as the numbers are close, I'd stick with the more versatile Freel.

I agree with everybody on this one. I would say stick with Freel. He seems to offer you more flexibility and versatility on your roster. Also, seeing as how you are already loaded with OFs, I have a feeling that Freel will help you out a lot more than the addition of another OF would.

Although Gary Mathews earned some attention during the off-season, Ryan Freel could fit in better during fantasy. He could play almost any position on the map and squeeze in when your normal starters have an off-day.

Get Freel.
