Preview my Fantasy Baseball Team

So here's my lineup for this year:

C - Jason Kendall
1B - Albert Pujols
2B - Tadahito Iguchi
3B - Eric Chavez
SS - Bobby Crosby
OF - Jason Lane
OF - Torii Hunter
OF - Geoff Jenkins
Util - Garrett Anderson
Bench - Jose Guillen
Bench Jonny Gomes

P - Jake Peavy
P - Roy Oswalt
P - Dontrell Willis
P - Ben Sheets
P - Curt Schilling
P - Josh Beckett
P - Josh Towers
P - Tim Wakefield
P - Mike Timlin
P - BJ Ryan

So what do you think? Overall I think this is a very strong team. Good power, speed, and average on the offense, 5 or 6 solid starting pitchers, 2 solid closers, and some good pieces to mix and match. I might have too many Red Sox pitchers (not a Red Sox fan at all, that is just how it worked out).

Re: What do you think of this team?

I like your rotation, especially once Sheets is healthy, and on the whole you've got some solid hitters. Not too high on Kendall anymore, but that's about the only glaring weakness I can see (and even he might be better than I'm expecting). Solid.

With that pitching rotation this team would be a serious contender for a championship. Thats how you develop a good franchise behind great pitching.

Re: What do you think of this team?

Still, with Peavy, Oswalt, Willis, Sheets, Schilling and Beckett, I can't help but wonder if you would be able to package one of them with Kendall for an upgrade at catcher and a lesser starter. Might be worth a shot.

Best Pitching Rotation I have seen on a team...the hitting has an optimistic upside if the young players live up to their potential. I would not worry about Kendall since he can be counted on for +500 at bats.

Great pitching rotation Doc. How many teams are in your league?
