| Need Some trade advice I play in a 15 team league....A trade offer was made to me where I would get Ian Snell,Alex Rios,Adrian Gonzalez,Mike Lowell, and Nick Markakis and I would give up Albert Pujols,Ichiro Suzuki,Ben Sheets, and Alex Gordon... I agreed to the trade and the league commisioner vetoed it saying that it was one sided towards the other guy and that it would harm the league...I need some opinions on whether or not I should protest this decision or if you think I am wrong for accepting this trade...Thanks for your help... Oh btw this is not a keeper league... BowlinBob |

Thanks I appreciate all comments...I didnt think that it was that one sided based on potential projected numbers but thats why I posted here to get some opinions outside of the box.... |

| Re: Need Some trade advice I believe that you were getting the worse part of the deal. But, I would like to hear your opinion and perspective on the trade? If you can convince me otherwise, I would say things are best as they are. Albert Pujols will hit for power, and Ichiro Suzuki (regardless of yesterday's game against Beckett) will hit for contact. |

| Re: Need Some trade advice I looked at the trade this way...Rios, Markakis and Gonzalez all have projected .300 30 100 numbers... Lowell is more a throw in because I havent been nearly as impressed with Gordon and I needed a starting third baseman in return...Snell had close if not nearly better numbers than Sheets last year playing for a far worse team...My lineup is very pitching loaded and contact loaded...But other than Pujols I have no real power threat and strong RBI threat....I thought maybe the projection of 300 RBI's 90 HR's was better than Pujols's 40HR 120 RBI... |

| Re: Need Some trade advice Bad deal. One thing you didn't cover was SB. You are giving up a lot getting rid if Ichiro on top of his average. Pujols can carry a team by himself. See if you can work a deal for Sheets. I don't have any confidence in the guy. He is hurt too much. |

| Your commissioner was right in this case, Bowlin Bob. The guy is trying to take advantage of so-so players who have had a good week. Dont react too much on just one week. Pujols and Sheets are better than anybody he's offering you. |

Sheets has thrown well so far and is a better pitcher at this stage the Snell... And if a player gets out to an above average start unless his name is Pujols, A-Rod etc...trade him while he is hot...which is what the other person is attempting to do... bottom line...replacing what they are offering is easier than replacing what you are getting through free agency, waiver pick up, or trade... |

| Re: Need Some trade advice I believe that you, BowlinBob, have found the feedback which you desired. The trade is controversial, depending on the perspective of the analyst. I would decline the trade now, but perhaps bring it up later in the season. It is way too early to make the calls based on these simple games. Last year, we would've all bought into Chris Shelton and Scott Kazmir. |
