Nope. Last MLB game I got was the last MVP year a few years ago.

How's the exclusive MLB game this year?

Nah... I'm more of a Wii Sports kinda guy. I like a game that lets me go through the motion of swinging the bat.

Re: MLB 07 The Show

MLB 07 The Show Is awesome

you can play only as your created player and play only his plays all the way through. you skip any other plays or you can just play a whole game through with each player.

they have a new "pitching intelligence" it lets the catcher call pitches based on batters style and umpires have their own personalities and strike zones that you have to learn

Its a great sports game and yes lefty if it had a bat you swing to hit it would be the gravy

Re: MLB 07 The Show

Eh, I've never been too impressed with the Sony MLB games... back before the exclusive license deal, I played EA Sports MVP Baseball series. And now that I've got my Wii, pushing buttons seems so outdated. But hey, I'm glad you enjoy it, dude. Anyone else here have a favorite MLB game they want to discuss?

Re: MLB 07 The Show

I have MLB 06, which is pretty awesome... The graphics rock, the gameplay is as good as I'd ever want it to be (aside from the annoying wild pitches that your character throws randomly).

Thefaint287, have you played MLB 06? And if so, what's the big difference between it and 07?

Re: MLB 07 The Show

I love MLB 2K7 for the XBOX 360.

The smooth graphics blend with the excellent gameplay and exciting dynasty.

I am already one year through my (ten-game per season, one inning per game) dynasty, centered around Manny Ramirez and Felix Hernandez. I did not finish as well as expecting with a disappointing 2-8 season. However, I have plenty of money to go around.

10 games per season, 1 inning per game? Aw, Marc... what's the fun in that? Completely takes away the strategy of changing pitchers, late-inning hit and runs, and stuff like that? I know, I know, it's probably a time thing, but still. Then again, who am I to talk? Wii Sports only lets you play three innings, and you can't even run or field.

I haven't played it myself, but I will say this... I just caught a review of it today and it got kind of mediocre marks. I guess there are a lot of goofy fielding glitches, frame rate problems and the like. I don't like putting a ton of stock in reviews, but after hearing this I'd strongly recommend you rent it first to see if what these guys on TV said is true or not.

Re: MLB 07 The Show

I think its awesome. I like road to the show. It lets you play as your created player on offense and defense you skip to plays only involving your player.

The umpires have unique personalities and different stike zones that you have to learn.

their are some other additions from 06 too. If you have a PS2 its the game to get

I just bought the Wii over the weekend.

I guess even at 26, I still act like a kid.

But in Wii Sports, they claim my fitness age is 39 or something.

Ha ha! Don't worry about it, Marc... I'm older than that but I'm lovin' it. The baseball, boxing and tennis games are my favorite, along with Madden 07. Great fun... unlike anything I've ever played, at least outside of an arcade.
