The problem is this would leave me with only 1 average closer, yet fill a glaring pos need. In my mind the only cat either Torres & Fuentes will give me is basically svs. The other cats they dont offer much help.

I would probably do that deal if you can find another closer (and you probably will as we get closer to the start of the season). Ibanez may not reproduce his power numbers from last year but he's a solid hitter who produces in many categories.

And besides, will Torres get many save ops in Pittsburgh?

You never hear much about Ibanez but he's a hell of a player. I'd take his near 100 run and 100 rbi year for sure.

Welcome inyerface ump. You look like you can use some pop, so i would make the trade. If your on your toes, you can always find a closer that comes out of nowhere during the year and you already have Fuentes
