| Fantasy Baseball-Third Baseman A.L. Well, lets start with the obvious, A-Rod! Every year, it seems he is getting better, and with this season I do not see him slowing down. Rodriguez should bat about .320, while hitting 40 homers and knocking in 125.
Then, there is Eric Chavez of the Oakland A's. Chavez isn't A-Rod, but then again who is, however he is capable of hitting 30 homers, knocking in over 100 while hitting .285.
Rangers' Hank Blalock doesn't seem to get the press that other players at third get, however he can hit about 30 homers and knock in about 100, which I think he will do this year. If their is one thing that can scare fantasy owners away, is that he doesn't hit for average.
As for the rest, well their are decent players such as Melvin Mora, Troy Glaus, Adrian Beltre and Joe Crede, but after the top three I mentioned, these guys are decent players who can hit about 20-25 homers and knock in roughly 80-85.
If there is someone to avoid, due to injuries and skills declining, is Mike Lowell of the Boston Red Sox. |
