| Fantasy--Second Baseman A.L. The second baseman in the A.L., is interesting to analyze. Chone Figgins of the Angels, is a leadoff hitter who will knock in about 50-60, but his asset will be stolen bases. Figgins, should steal around 60 bases this season, and he is someone I would put at the top of the list in the A.L. After that, well I think most of the second baseman are average. If someone asked who I would take in a pinch, well I would tell people to take Jorge Cantu of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and without question Robinson Cano of the Yankees, who would hit about .290 with roughly 15 homers and knocking in about 70. |

| 2nd Base I agree with your assessment. I do, however, think that Cano is going to have a big season. I am a huge Yankee fan - so I may be biased - but I see this kid as a potential batting champion one day. He doesn't strike out and could develop a power stroke. I'd expect Cano to hit .300+, hit 15-20 homeruns, and knock in 80+ runs. True, Cano doesn't walk much, but I think he'll develop an eye - he's not like Soriano - but is a bad ball hitter. Figgins gives a boost because of his speed - so unless you've got a team with enough stolen base threats, I'd go with Cano. |
