Okay who stayed up?
East coaster here, and I'm tired by 10 pm, which is when the game STARTED. When did it finish? I was long asleep - It was almost two games long.
2 minutes into the 3OT period, Horcoff scored.
Smyth went off leaving a trail of blood in the second (regular) period after a clearing pass by Pronger hit him in the face, but he came back (thank God, I can't lose him after Connolly bit it), and McCauley is back on the ice for the Sharks (an old leaf).

It was the third-longest game in Oilers history. Their record stands at 57:34 of overtime play in a 3-2 loss to Dallas in 1999.
- but it was San Jose's longest game in history.They are horses. And thank you, Edmonton, for offering up a real competition and not lying down and letting them skate right over you.

Only caught the ESPN highlights on this one...saw Roloson make a big save on Cheechoo in the 2nd overtime...quick glove has Roloson... Cheecho owas on ice for 34.43 minutes...a lot for a forward...I like this kid...
