| Miami eyeing Duke athletics director DURHAM -- Duke assistant athletic director Jon Jackson confirmed that there had been no contact between Duke AD Joe Alleva and the University of Miami, which is looking for a new AD, as of Monday afternoon. The Miami Herald listed Alleva as a candidate to replace Miami AD Paul Dee, who is stepping down on June 1. Jackson also said that Alleva, having worked with Miami since the school joined the ACC in 2004, "thinks highly" of the university but was "extremely happy" at Duke and not looking to leave. Since Alleva took over in 1998, Duke's athletics department has undergone broad facilities construction and upgrades. 01/15/2008 | Miami eyeing Duke athletics director
