| Blue Devils vs. Northwestern Wildcats 22 straight losses and counting for the Blue Devils, who fell to Virginia 24-13 on Saturday. This weekend, they try (again) for their first win since 2005 and their first victory over a BCS conference school since 2004 as they lock horns with the surprisingly unbeaten Northwestern Wildcats. Duke QBs have thrown twice as many INTs (4) as they have TDs (2). Do they have any chance of taking down their Big Ten opposition in this one?

| Re: Blue Devils vs. Northwestern Wildcats True, They have won 7 ACC and 9 SCC championships, but the last one they won was almost 20 years ago and they had to split the title. The same year they got trampled on in their bowl game against TxTech. They also havent been to a bowl game in 13 years, which is way too long. I'd like to see Duke as good on the field as they are on the court. |

Their stadium is horrible and is something out of the 1940's. It would be hard to expand it. I heard a statement a long time ago and that fits Duke. If you ever go to a college football game and you see a banner that hangs that says "highest GPA in NCAA football" and it has multiple years attached to it, then the team probably sucks. Well Duke has won that thing about 20 times from what I could tell last year and most of those have been in the last 25 years.

| Re: Blue Devils vs. Northwestern Wildcats DUKE WINS! DUKE WINS! According to the Associated Press, "Vincent Rey didn't even need to see the ball hit the ground to know the nation's longest losing streak had come to an end... Rey and Ayanga Okpokowuruk rushed Northwestern's C.J. Bacher into an incomplete pass on the final play and Duke snapped its 22-game skid with a 20-14 win Saturday night... Thaddeus Lewis threw for 246 yards and three touchdowns for the Blue Devils, whose last win came on Sept. 17, 2005 against Virginia Military Institute. Duke (1-2) hadn't defeated a major college team since Nov. 13, 2004, against Clemson, a span of 27 games."
