No this is not a bashing thread for the Duke Lacrosse team. I just wanted to state that from the get go.

I was watching the local news last night and being a North Carolina resident, we get coverage of all the college sports from the BIG 4 (UNC, ECU, N.C. State, Duke). We get more than just football and basketball coverage. But it's interesting, after the hellish season that Duke Lacrosse went through last year, they are about to enter the NCAA playoffs and as one of the top seeds in the tournament, and they have a good chance of bringing home a National Championship.

Now as much as I hate Duke, I'm glad to see these guys getting a chance to redeem themselves and play the sport that they love to play.

That's amazing, considering how the program had its name drug through the mud for the better part of a year. I didn't even know they were back playing this season after last year got cancelled. Like you said, good that the kids have a chance to redeem themselves and play for the lacrosse championship. What a story that would be if they won it all, too.

The other amazing part is that they have a new coach. So to do this with what happened last year and a first year coach, man, that's made for TV.
