This is not an easy road for Duke. Southern is a walk but then its gonna be most likely George Washington. If they get past them then its either LSU or Syracuse. I'm going with LSU because I am just tired of the 'Cuse hype. Then its either Texas or Iowa. I would not wanna play either one of these teams. Texas is tough and Iowa is just as tough. So I think Duke will get by but they are gonna be beat up.

GW is an awful tough second round opponent, and then both the LSU/Syracuse winner and the Texas/Iowa winner are dangerous foes. Almost looks like this thing was set up for the Blue Devils to fail. Nah, couldn't be... could it?

I am not so sure Iowa is going to walk all over West Virginia. A lot of people are forgetting about the Mountaineers because they slowed down at the end of the season. But I think they can give Iowa a run for their money if they can get past the first round.

I don't think anyone's saying that Iowa's going to walk all over the Mountaineers, but they are the hotter team right now. I think you've got to give them the edge, but a WVU win wouldn't be the biggest upset by any stretch of the imagination.

I don't think George Washington is any good, especially if they don't get that big guy back. The Atlantic 10 is one of the worst conferences going. I believe West Virginia will beat Iowa, but I think that Texas is going to emerge from that whole baracket when all is said and done. Could you imagine if they make the Final Four? They could conceivably be shooting to own the NCAA baseball, football, and basketball crowns all at the same time.

Step one down for the Blue Devils: a 70-54 win over Southern yesterday. Now we get to see whether or not GW can hold their own against mighty, mighty Duke, since they edged out NC-Wilmington in OT. Suddenly, though, with Syracuse out, this bracket's starting to look a little easier. Or at least a little more Duke-friendly.

I for one did not think Duke looked that great last night. They may have been playing down to the competition, but Southern hung tough for a lot of the game. If they plan on making a run at the title, they are going to have to pick it up.
