Redick's to have Number Retired by Duke

Shelden Williams and J.J. Redick, who both starred at Duke from 2003-06 and are currently playing in the NBA, will have their respective jersey numbers retired at separate ceremonies this season. Williams' number 23 will be retired on January 28 and Redick's number 4 will be retired on February 4 at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Even if he winds up being a bust as a pro, Redick will go down as one of the best in Blue Devils history.

Of course, as an Orlando resident (and most likely someone who has dozens of his NBA rookie cards), I'm sure that's not necessarily something you want to hear, eh, Gotham?

You are soooo right my man...see Target basketball packs were see through this year and the rookies were on top, so I clean Orlando Targets out of Redick and Morrison rookies...so he better pan out.

Re: Redick's to have Number Retired by Duke

Duke graduates do not translate well into the NBA. The ones who leave early seem to do well after a few seasons, but the graduates rarely turn out to be great NBA players. I don't know what it is about the system there, but that has been the pattern over the years.

But, Morrison is doing great, you might want to hold onto that card. The Redick card would be good if you have a child who needs to make his bicycle sound like a motorcycle.
