ACC Tournament, Duke vs the Field In the pending ACC tourney, do people feel more inclined to take Duke or the rest of the conference to win it? Personally, I have to take the conference. Duke has had numerous difficulties defeating so many teams. These last two losses I think were mentally crippling for the Blue Devils, and they typically thrive on that mental edge. Much like The Lakers, Yankees, Spurs and other Duke equivalents that have experienced a disproportional amount of success the past 5-10 years. Both of the losses to FSU and UNC in many ways exposed Duke and it will not be surprising to see them lose again before the NCAA tournament. Personally I have to take the conference. So in the pending ACC tourney, who does everyone feel more inclined to pick, Duke or the eleven other teams?

Re: ACC field vs. Duke I can't see Duke getting beat again before the NCAA Tournament. A loss in the ACC tourney would really drop them down from the elite in my opinion. But with the way Carolina and some other ACC teams have been playing it is a definite possibility.

Re: ACC Tournament, Duke vs the Field At this point I think its crazy to claim that anyone can predict what is going to happen in the ACC tournament. What is fairly obvious is that UNC has gotten a huge shot in the arm by beating Duke at Duke. Now whether that shot in the arm is going make UNC over confident and give Duke the mental "edge" that it needs, or push UNC over the top of a slumping Duke still remains to be seen. The ACC is up for grabs.

Re: ACC Tournament, Duke vs the Field It is definitely up for grabs, just like every other conference tourney; but I would say that Duke is still the front runner. They won the regular season title, and until they get beat in the ACC tourney they are the favorite in my eyes.
