Sounds as though Tigers P Dontrelle Willis will be out a little longer than first expected.

According to the Associated Press, "Willis will return to Detroit from Class A Lakeland of the Florida State League this week to have his right knee examined, according to a report in Tuesday’s Detroit Free Press... The newspaper report states that Willis (0-1, 10.32 ERA), who has allowed 21 walks in just 11 1/3 innings this season, may not be able to pitch in the majors again in 2008 due to this most recent setback."

Good chance of it... if not the trade itself, then at least the $29 million extension they gave him. What were they thinking?
Of course, it's easy to say that in hindsight. I was one of those guys touting a Willis comeback. I was wrong. I was so horribly wrong.
