Tigers Lose Bonderman for the Season

This was the last thing the Tigers' beleaguered pitching staff needed: Jeremy Bonderman will almost certainly miss the rest of the year following emergency surgery to remove a blood clot from his right shoulder. From Jon Paul Morosi of the Detroit Free Press:
Bonderman underwent a thrombolysis to break up the clot on Friday night, and then an angioplasty this morning at the Detroit Medical Center.

Kevin Rand, the team's head athletic trainer, said Bonderman could be discharged from the hospital as early as this afternoon, but he may need to have another procedure once it is determined what caused the clot to form.

Hard to believe it's gone this bad for Detroit. Not a single guy on the roster hs lived up to his billing. None.

Leyland is so gonna retire at the end of the season. He's too old to put up with this bunch of underachievers.
