Re: How about the Tigers? The Tigers have the potential of becoming one of the top teams in baseball. They have some great sluggers who are capable of becoming MVPs. Chris Shelton is having a great year and Magglio Ordonez is amazing. Do you think Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez will get his act together?

Re: How about the Tigers? I love seeing the Tigers play well after they nearly set a record for losses a few years ago. This shows how fast a team can turn around if you make smart personel moves. I am hoping the Tigers win their division and from there depends on who else is in the playoffs.

Re: How about the Tigers? Exactly, desertrat. If they were to finish the season on pace they would end up with 112 wins and only 50 losses. That is incredible for a team that finished poorly the year before! How many wins do you think they will rack up this season?

Re: How about the Tigers? Leyland has said that he does not expect this to continue, although he may be trying to take some of the pressure of maintaining the good start off of his team. It is good to see him doing well, and I do hope he keeps it up. The Yankees are coming in for four big games starting today, so we will see how good they are for ourselves now.

Re: How about the Tigers? Kenny Rogers only has only one or two more years left as a solid starter. He is 41-years old and has had a lucky start this season. I do not expect him to follow through, though. He has been looking pretty bad in his latest games. I am not sure if he is getting carried away by the Tigers' success, but he has been 0-1, with a 8.44 ERA in his last 10.2IP. There is definitely no excuss for that horrible performance.

Re: How about the Tigers? Detroit looked alot like the same old rotten Tigers today vs the Yankees. They made Randy Johnson look almost decent again, did not hit at all, and botched a pair of potential double plays that led to 2 New York runs.

Re: How about the Tigers? Some things never changes. The AL Central is full of plenty of teams with the potential of winning a championship. The Tigers have a large chance of winning their division. But, you can't forget about the Twins, Indians and White Sox. The White Sox have not been as dominant this season as expected. Some MLB predictions said that they would sit first in the standings, as the best team overall. It looks like it will come down to the wire between the White Sox and the Tigers. The two teams who you would never have expected to win their division three years ago. The Tigers have some big names and the incredible rookie, Justin Verlander. He has a huge chance of winning the Rookie of the Year award or maybe even the Cy Young award. But it is too early to give the awards out.

Re: How about the Tigers? NowI know why Chris Shelton hit 9 homers in 13 games and 2 since; he cannot hit a breaking ball! Scouts must have found that out about this kid. He has looked awful on offspeed pitches.

Re: How about the Tigers? Well I just can't wait to see the outcome of this. I'm sure all of you have heard of Verducci from SI. He is the guy that buried Bonds last week in his column. Anyway, Tom begs to differ with you all. He claims that the Tigers are for real. Read this article. This guy kind of gets on my nerves. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...eal/index.html
