Willis no-hit bid spoiled

Dontrelle Willis almost had a no-hitter, but in the end, Detroit lost to Chicago yesterday.

According to the AP, "Willis gave up only one hit but walked seven in five-plus innings in his Tigers debut, and Detroit remained the only winless team in the majors with a 5-3 loss to Chicago on Saturday... Detroit is 0-5 for the first time since the Tigers dropped their first nine games in 2003 en route to an AL-record 119 losses."

I wouldn't call him back just yet. He had a no hit bid going, but he walked 7? He had no control at all. The Sox didn't get a hit because they were afraid to stand in and swing as wild as he looked
