Last week there was word that the Detroit Tigers were talking to centerfielder Curtis Granderson about a possible contract extension, and now the two sides have come to an agreement, and Curtis Granderson is going to be patrolling Comerica Park's vast outfield for a while.

The Detroit Tigers and center fielder Curtis Granderson agreed to a five year, $30.25 million contract, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney.

The Tigers have a club option for the 2013 season.

That is about $6 million a year for 5 years. I think that is a bargain for him the way contracts are going lately.
