Yep, you read that right - Kenny Rogers has fired agent Scott Boras and will now represent himself. Rogers apparently is intent on remaining in Detroit - a deal with the Tigers is reportedly close - while Boras insisted on trying to shop his services around to the highest bidder. What do you folks think about Rogers move here? And between this and the A-Rod situation, what does this mean for Boras' future in baseball?

Probably not much. There is a big difference between A-Rod and Rogers. Kenny is 43 years old, missed three months of the '07 season. Boras is looking out for his own pocket and Rogers just wants to pitch. Might not be the greatest combination ever. A-Rod may have more effect on Scott's career than Rogers.
