| Tigers: AL Central Race The Detroit Tigers beat the Minnesota Twins yesterday, 4-2. They're currently 5.5 games behind the Cleveland Indians in the AL Central and have won 8 of their last 11 games. As Detroit skipper Jim Leyland put it, "We've got to win as many as we can and hope we catch a break." So, any chance they can catch that break and close in on the Tribe? | Re: Tigers: AL Central Race I don't think they have a chance at catching the Indians. They are pitching the ball too well, and their hitting has been coming around. I would not want to play them in the post season. |
