Placido Polanco MLB record
Placido Polanco of the Detroit Tigers has set a new Major League Baseball record for consecutive errorless games by a second basemen. Polcano played in his 144th straight game without booting or overthrowing a ball, breaking the record previously held by Luis Castillo of the Twins. "He's like an old shoe," Tigers manager Jim Leyland told reporters. "Not the prettiest, but real comfortable."
