Verlander may just be the best (or second best) starter in the AL. He's so good...and so young, he could have a long and successful career. The Tigers have themselves perhaps the best pitcher in the game.

If we're looking at just this season, I have to vote for Ordonez and his MLB-best .359 batting average.
