Well, he is the active career steals leader, for what that's worth. Still, according to Baseball-Reference.com, his numbers compare to the likes of Willie McGee and Brett Butler - good players, but just not Hall of Fame caliber, and neither is Lofton in my opinion.

Lofton falls short in my opinion. If he gets in, then there are another dozen that have to go to.

whats weird about all this is in the interview they asked sheff if he thought torre was racist and he said NO, So I guess you can do racist things or as sheff said treat black and white players differently but thats not considered racist?? dont make sense..

For the numbers Sheffield puts up, he sure has been on a lot of teams.

Milwaukee, San Diego, Florida, LA Dodgers, Yankees, Tigers....I wonder if he ever thought about why that is.
