Joel Zumaya had an MRI taken yesterday and will be examined by a hand specialist in New York today, according to the Detroit Free Press. He was placed on the disabled list Saturday with a strained right middle finger. "It's really swollen right now," he said after Sunday's game. "I have sharp pain in it." Manager Jim Leyland appeared prepared for Zumaya to be out for a while, saying, "I would guess it's not very good. I don't think this is going to be a very good situation. But I'm hoping I get a pleasant surprise."
