Okay, we are live and about 30 minutes till gametime. Pregame thoughts about this match-up?

Pitching matchup will see Detroit's Virgil Vasquez make his MLB debut vs. Boof Bonser (0-1, 3.96 ERA) of the Twins.

Two out and Sheffield on after a walk. Magglio Ordonez at the plate.

And Ordonez drives one deep and... GONE! Two-run homer and it's 2-0 Detroit in the first inning.

Guillen strikes out to end the top half of the first, but the damage has been done.

Vasquez, they say, is pitching in place of Jeremy Bonderman, who is out with a blister. Bonderman should miss just this one start.

So much for that mound visit helping. Torii Hunter homers to center field, and the Twins lead, 4-2. I imagine Vasquez's MLB debut won't last much longer.
