Sean Casey left the game in the 5th or 6th inning after grounding out. The replays shown by FOX led the announcers to believe he seriously injured his calf after planting his foot to run after making contact. He limped off the field so it doesn't look good at all for Casey.

Shelton's in the dugout, but I dunno if he's been placed on the playoff roster....what will happen to the D's 1st base? I'd hate to see Guillen taken off short....any ideas?

The early report hints towards a muscle spasming...so if that's correct, I don't think he will miss more than a game (at most).

I certainly hope you're right. Leyland said Casey would definitely sit Game 2, and he was a long shot for Game 3, but still no official word on his condition as far as I know.

It sounds like Casey is out for the post-season. He has a tear of his calf and won't be on the World Series roster if the Tigers make it according to Leyland.
