Coffey was still more than a serviceable player for the Wings winning the Norris in 95, and topping +70 points twice. He just wasn't the player he was on the Stanley Cup winning Oilers and Penguins teams. |

| Re: All-Time Red Wings Team The problem I had with Coffey was that he played very little defense. He was more like a fourth attacker when he was on the ice. I think Murphy, who was also a very capable scorer, played a more balanced game. Unlike Coffey, he was never a defensive sieve for the Red Wings. |

| Re: All-Time Red Wings Team You have to give Konstantinov (sp) a nod there as well, he was more offensivly gifted that he had credit for and played some solid D in a scoring era. Besides he could hit lik no other. Brad Park as a player not a coach...lol Ron Dugay Jonny O Coffey was awesome here, I think he taught Nick alot! Murphury.....
