While they weren't able to put together the types of trades to which we've become accustumed, the Red Wings made a good move. They got an experience defenseman in Corey Cross and didn't have to give up much in return.

I have to imagine, if you're Cross, you suddenly get energized when going from a team like Pittsburgh to the Red Wings.

Leafs had cory cross a few years back. used to be with the lightning. then he went to the rangers. then he went to Edmonton. then he went to pittsburgh. now he's in detroit.
One thing i know is, he's tall.
