Cool Pistons Hang for Win

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- The Detroit Pistons got off to a great start, had a double-digit lead with less than a minute left and barely hung on.
Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O'Neal were spectacular for the Miami Heat.
Ultimately, however, all that matters is that the Eastern Conference finals are even.
Tayshaun Prince tied a career playoff high with 24 points and had 11 rebounds, Richard Hamilton scored 22 points, and Detroit bounced back -- as usual -- and beat Miami 92-88 Thursday night in Game 2. "They came in here and won a game, now it's our turn to go down there and do the same thing," Detroit point guard Chauncey Billups said.

It got a bit close there at the end wheh the Pistons were called for a 5 second violation and Wade hit a 3 point from the corner with under 15 seconds to play...almost thought the Heat might just pull it off...but nope...its 1-1. I think I would have rather seen Lebron go up against Wade.

Re: Pistons Hang for Win

It will be an interesting series that any of the teams could win just with a little advantage from Detroit due to their experience in the postseason, I think.
Its a great final conference anyway. Miami.. thristy of winning after last season and Detroit after playing the Spurs last champioship are more than hubgry forthat title this year.
Turovers will make the difference for me. Detroit is a excellent team on 2 halves, and the Heat is excellent on 4th qaurters... so we will have to see them on court.
Very even series, even MIAMI IS LEADING 2-1.
i BET DETROIT ALL THE WAY.. AND MY BOY bEN WALLACE.

Welcome to GoTeamsGo Milatown...nice to see a Piston fan join us...I like Wallace... It was sad to see the Magic give up on him, and then he goes an shines in Detroit...

Still, I like upsets...I was pulling for the Cavs....

How do you think Wallace will do against Shaq the rest of the way?

Re: Pistons Hang for Win

It's a one to one battle. Shaq n Wallace out in court. After lossing 2 teeth on game 1, I expect a great series for both. At the end, even Miami has a strong team, I chose the Pistons.

Lets see how the play after going to Miami, going back home hopefully with the seires tied. Lets push for Dallas on the other conference also, I would like tosee them at the end...
Rasheed and Ben, Shaq n Wade..... a must see game...

Re: Pistons Hang for Win

The main question here is...Will Ben Wallace be able to contain Shaq from dropping down 20+ points?

I think a former Defensive Player Of the Year should be able to complete such a task. It isn't that hard considering Shaq is about 34 and is less dominant than he was four years ago.

Welcome to GoTeamsGo Milatown. This was written on Yahoo today. Dan Wetzel says that Flip Saunders has lost the Pistons. What do you and everyone else think?

Gee, to here you talk anyone should be able to stop a hulk of a 7'1" 330lb monster that likes to use his bulk to bump you out of his space...Easier said then done Marc...The only player that can really stop Shaq is Shaq...or Kobe Bryant by not giving him the ball...

Re: Pistons Hang for Win

Apparently the coach is being made the scapegoat by the players here. What a nice thing to do. They were sooooooo in love with their last coach, they must miss Larry Brown. This sounds like Rasheed Wallace's influence in the locker room to me.

If Flip Saunders really had guts, he'd bench Rasheed for the next game. That might light a fire under the rest of the team. Remember, there's no I in -T-E-A-M!

Its now or never for Flip...I would send a message to his crappy team...as in "hey, it might cost me the game, my job, and my career...but I while I am still the freakin boss, half of you are starting the game on bench...and when any of you actually make it as a coach in this league then you can mouth off...as it is, I don't see your collective butts beating the Heats yet, so shut up..."

Hey Milatown...Welcome back...Seems like Wallace handled Shaq well the other night...though I do not like the Pistons turning on their Coach like that...bad form man...what's your take on it?

Re: Pistons Hang for Win

Talking about coaches..... do you remember those times where Pat Ryley was with the Knicks, there I liked Pat Ryley... if Detroit doens't make it, ther's nothing Detorit coach is doing anymore overthere. Too much good players in one team without a real motivator. As I said, Pistons wins game 6, and even am a Detroit fan.. it's going to be difficult... going back to Miami for game 7 and win it. I hope that's the way it goes.

Hang for two wins.. I'll get back to u ... before game 7.. and after...
