AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Last year the Pistons trotted out the same starting lineup for the first 73 games of the season, an amazing streak of endurance given the rigors and pitfalls of the typical NBA season. This year they’re being reminded of their mortality.
Rip Hamilton sat out two games in November with a hyperextended elbow and Rasheed Wallace might very well miss at least Saturday’s game at New Jersey with “bilateral ankle soreness.”
“Ankles,” Flip Saunders said after Friday’s practice. “Sore ankles. He’s questionable tomorrow and then we’ll wait and see.”
Ouch!
