As a rookie last season, the 2005 No. 10 overall pick was--to put it in nice terms--unimpressive. Aside from his lack of on-field production for such a highly-touted player, his nonchalant attitude toward team functions last season tarnished his reputation and put a dent in his wallet.
He was fined repeatedly last year for being late to team meetings. If you thought he had learned his lesson, you were wrong.
Recently, he missed a treatment and was late for yet another team meeting, and was consequently suspended for the final two days of a recent mandatory mini-camp. Not exactly the way you want to make your first impression with a new coaching staff.

Williams attitude seems to have picked off were it left off...shame...He has a ton of talent. Will he stick in Detroit long?

No, not with Rod Marinelli in charge now. What a shame, and what a waste of God-given talent Mike Williams is. I doubt he makes it out of the pre-season. With Martz and Marinelli, they'll either bury him on the depth chart or find some team desperate enough for WR help that they'll even take a flier on this bum.

Oh I thought you meant #11 Roy Williams. Mike Williams is a stiff! Great draft move when you had Rogers and R. Williams. Thats like drafting a QB if your the Colts or Patriots!!! Mariucci was/is one of the most overrated coaches in football.
