| Re: Detroit Lions wide receivers On paper, the wide receiver position should be a strength for the Detroit Lions. They have three former first round picks in Roy Williams, Mike Williams and Charles Rodgers, but only the former has had any NFL success thus far. Scottie Vines is currently penciled in as the #2 WR, while Corey Bradford is basically a speedy underachiever. Things look so bad for this group that Mike Martz may use rookie RB Brian Calhoun as a slot receiver, or they may try to sign another receiver, perhaps Az-Zahir Hakim or the soon-to-be-released David Patten. Thoughts about this mess? |
