Lions looking like reunion of Tampa Bucs

Marinelli doesnt like taking risks. So he is getting guys he knows and who have played with him in Tampa Bay;DT Chuck Darby, and DB Brian Kelly, Dwight Smith and Kalvin Pearson.
"I know the type of guy I want and these men know what we are doing. I'm looking at this team down the road and its filled with young players from the draft. I'm percolating coffee here. I'm not making instant," says Marinelli.
Marinelli also insists that Roy Williams is going to stay.

Rod Marinelli on ex-Bucs joining Lions: 'I know the type of guy I want' - Detroit Lions: News, Blogs, Photos, Audio, Schedule & Stats - MLive.com

Dang slow pot of coffee. Hope the fans hang around long enough to get a cup.

Hey now, this is just Marinelli's third year, right? And they are showing improvement. Patience is a lost virtue in the NFL these days.

True, but you be the one to tell a disgruntled Lion fan that.

True, but the guy who should be on the chopping block here is Millen, not Marinelli. I think the coach is doing a fine job with what he's got.

He is following a formula that is proven to work. This is exactly what Parcells has done. He seems to get the same players everytime he starts with a new team.

Very true. Millen has made a perrenial losing team into a joke in the NFL. I didn't think they could get any worse but he has drove them into the ground and stomped on them.
