Forget being the Pope or the President or even Stephen Colbert.
I want to be president of the Detroit Lions. I want to be Matt Millen.
I want to be paid ridiculous money to make my bosses look like idiots. I want to draft receiver after receiver after receiver in the NFL draft for no reason.
I want to pick my coaches out of a hat ... or maybe a dartboard. Perhaps I’ll just open a phone book and close my eyes.
Then I want to say something stupid after eight years on the job, after my team loses 50 more games than it wins (31-81).
I want to say something about that record, something like it is “beyond awful.”.........
