Dont expect Roy Williams to be traded

Dont believe the stories you hear about Roy Williams to be traded.
The Lions will entertain offers for Williams but will close the deal only if there's overwhelming value for Williams.
The Lions believe the departure of Mike Martz will make Williams a happier player in 2008. and might help to get him back in 2009

Hmm, so I take it Williams didn't get along well with Martz. With all the blame the ex-OC's getting, the Lions better hope their offense is better this year.

How come we didn't hear any of this during the season. It is rare that a team can keep their mouths closed when they are unhappy. I thought they would have loved him. He is an offensive genius.

Yeah, it is odd to be heaping so much of the blame on a guy who's offense have been proven to work.

Like I said, they better represent offensively this year, or else they are going to be looking mighty, mighty foolish.

Cowboys didnt say much about Parcells when he was there either. They only expressed their dissatisfaction after he left.
Teams will sometimes yelp when they are losing bad about a coach, but the Lions were actually doing a little better, at least for awhile. So they would have looked pretty stupid doing it then.
