Marinelli: Lions wont waive Rogers

In discussing the future of defensive tackle Shaun Rogers, Detroit Lions coach Rod Marinelli said Tuesday there are only two options: Rogers will either be traded or he'll be reporting to the team's training camp in July.
There were rumors Rogers could get cut. Those rumors were encouraged by the fact that the Lions owe a $1 million roster bonus on March 2 and might try to dump him before paying it.

Trade him?? Who would want him?

You would be suprised who would want him. If they outright release him, teams will be lining up to get him. They are just saying that to get something in return.
