| Kitna says Martz deserves to stay The Detroit Lions still have one game to play -- against the 12-3 Green Bay Packers on Sunday -- but the buzz already is about the offseason and the uncertainty that surrounds it. Many of the players on the current roster won't be back, it appears Mike Martz might step down as offensive coordinator and there even is some speculation about the job security of starting quarterback Jon Kitna. "As a mentor of mine told me one time: 'What are we certain of?' " Kitna said. "As soon as you think you're certain of something, you're setting yourself up. I take every year as it is, and we'll see what happens." Kitna, who has started every game for the Lions over the past two years, knows there will be some changes with the Lions in the offseason, but he hopes the departure of Martz isn't one of them. | Re: Kitna says Martz deserves to stay Things looked so good for this team coming into the season, and not Martz might leave and they could dump Kitna? This is why this team is a joke. They're just finally getting some stability, getting on the right road, and now they want to blow it all up and start over again. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
