| History not on Lion's side, but Coach expects hard fought game It's been 16 long years since the Detroit Lions beat the Packers in Wisconsin. But Lions coach Rod Marinelli says Green Bay shouldn't expect his team to roll over Sunday. The game is essentially meaningless. Detroit Detroit won't make the playoffs, and Green Bay already knows it has a bye in the first round and a home game in the second. But Marinelli says he wants his 7-8 team to compete for a win against the 12-3 Packers. He says he's going to make sure his players understand it's still an important game, and he wants winning performances from them. WSAW - Sports Sports section front
