Lions president Matt Millen also drafted running back Brian Calhoun in the third round. He is expected to compete with Artose Pinner for the final running back spot on the roster. With their supplemental pick in the seventh round, the Lions landed inside linebacker Anthony Cannon,

Okay, we all know about Millen and his picks...but did he do good on Calhoun...some peple are not sold on him...anyone know about this kid?

He was a good back at Wisconsin, but ex-Badgers haven't done too well in the NFL in recent years. Not sure if he'll be any different. But why are the Lions spending a third-round pick on a RB? You don't use a third-round pick on a guy who is "expected to compete... for the final running back spot on the roster." What a waste!

You know...that was my thoughts...here is Millen with a 3rd round pick and he spends it on a person competing for a "backup spot"...I am sending the Lions a freakin letter...I want to be considered for the next GM spot...when they ask me for qualifications...I will say, what does that have to do with anything?...you guys have Millen in there and he is not qualified...
