- During the offseason, Detroit Lions quarterback Jon Kitna said he believed his team should win 10 games. He claims it never was a prediction, but something he thought his team was capable of. Well, now Kitna believes those 10 wins are going to be necessary if Detroit plans on getting into the playoffs. That chore got more difficult Sunday when the Lions were beaten for a third straight game, losing to the Green Bay Packers 37-26. The Lions now are 6-5, but three teams that have the tiebreaker advantage over them -- the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins and Arizona Cardinals -- are all sitting at 5-5.

There was a time I thought they'd get to 10 wins, but not anymore. Not after three straight losses.

It will be very tough with the remaining schedule. They have Vikings, Cowboys, Chargers, Chiefs, and Packers again. They could easily lose all of these.

And they will DEFINITELY lose more than one of them, that's for sure.

Well, Vikings and Packers are divisional. Those are always iffy no matter what, but if Lions couldnt beat Packers at home, probably not at Lambeau, but who knows. Chargers are beatable the way they play, so are Chiefs. Cowboys sometimes fall apart at the wrong time.
I do think the Lions are weakening, but I am not going to count them out of a playoff card.

I dont count them out either, i think maybe they will win 2 more games at best, but they wont be getting their ten wins.
