Lions vs. Packers

The 6-4 Detroit Lions will take on the surprisingly good 9-1 Packers at home on Thanksgiving Day.
Lions are smarting over their sloppy loss to the Giants on Sunday. Some poor decisions by Kitna probably cost them that game. The Giants D is not a team to fool around with. Neither is the Packers D.
Lions generally play tough at home.
Neither team is good at running the football, although both are getting better.
Both teams are good against the run.
Packers are 1st in passing yards per game, Lions 9th.
But the Lions are playing at home.
Will the Lions win this one?????????????

Detroit, believe it or not, actually have a winning record on Thanksgiving: 35-31-1. I always pull for them to win the holiday game.

Not in since I've been watching, and they are playing the Packers who as many people don't know are 9-1!

Re: Lions vs. Packers

I knew they played tough at home and Thanksgiving but I didnt know the Lions had a winning record on Thanksgiving. Guess I missed those games too.

And bears, glad to see you put family ahead of Cowboy cheer leaders for your traditions on Thanksgiving Day. Are you cheering for the Pack in this one by some chance???

Re: Lions vs. Packers

Yeah, but at least the Lions came back and made a run at it. They were getting absolutely blown out for a while there.

Re: Lions vs. Packers

I know Kitna has done a decent job this season, but I got the feeling watching yesterday that if they had a better QB they would be a lot better team.
