The arbitration hearing on the Lions' grievance against Charles Rogers, their first-round draft pick in 2003, will take place Wednesday in Detroit.
Rogers last played in 2005. The Lions are seeking to reclaim $10.1 million of the $14.4 million signing bonus Rogers got on his rookie contract. They say Rogers' diminished his value by using drugs. In 2005, his last NFL season, Rogers was suspended for four games for violating the NFL's policy on substance abuse. In an interview on the NFL Network, Rogers said he smoked marijuana.
