| Something new to contend with The Detroit Lions may face the regular season one game at a time but this week’s division match-up against the Chicago Bears is one game they know is important. If Detroit can win this week, the Lions would improve to 5-2 overall and 3-0 in division play. For the Detroit defense to succeed, however, it will have to contend with a very different-looking Bears’ offense from the one they faced in Week 4 at Ford Field. Chicago has added return specialist Devin Hester to the mix at wide receiver, utilizing his speed and overwhelming ability to make players miss on the offensive side of the football. | Re: Something new to contend with Definitely, if the Lions can beat the Bears this week, they should be able to at the very least get a wildcard spot down the line. That is barring any collapse. |
