Detroit vs Chicago

This is one of those games I was laughing about when the schedule came out. Now I am not so sure.
Lion's offense is good. Kitna has 980 passing yards but his passer rating is only 97. He throws a few interceptions. The offense is only 40% in the red zone.
Coach Marinelli said of last week's game that there was a lot of poor tackling. But he stressed that it was a team loss.
Chicago's D. is beat up. Not only by the blowout by the Cowboys but by injuries.
Everyone knows about the problems at offense. If Griese plays will it really make a difference? What about the drops by the receivers?
Will Detroit pull it off? Will they beat the mighty Bears?

This one scares me...I have the Bears D and the Minnesota D in fantasy and I am scared to play the Bears against the Air-Kitna.

Re: Detroit vs Chicago

The Kitna-led offense against a Bears D that could be missing five starters on Sunday? Give me the Lions in this one.

Re: Detroit vs Chicago

Detroit is hurting.
TE Dan Campbell out for the season
other injuries:
tackle Jeff Backus
guard Damien Woody
WR Calvin Johnson
linebacker Alex Lewis

The defense, which nearly shut down the Vikings the week before, needs to make some changes after last week's game. Coach Marinelli says they need to wrap up the running back and go back to the fundamentals and make good tackles. The first guy cant miss.
The team needs to keep things in perspective. It is one game and there should not be too much emphasis on a win or loss.

He played in the last preseason game but was already out by the time the season opened. I couldnt find anything about him getting hurt in the game, so I am thinking he got hurt at practice. That sounds right to me.

How about these Lions, eh? They're now 3-1 after beating Chicago, 37-27 today. Jon Kitna goes 20-for-24 for 247 yards and 2 TDs in the win.

I'm having trouble believing the Packers are for real yet, much less the Lions.
I dont think today's game really proved they are. How many interceptions for Griese today?
