Calvin Johnson did not arrive Thursday at the Detroit Lions training camp.
The No. 2 pick in April's NFL draft remains a holdout.
"I can't tell you what is going on," Lions coach Rod Marinelli said. "All I can do is coach the men they put on the field. When he gets here, we'll coach him."
Johnson has now missed the first eight days of training camp, including 14 full-squad workouts.
"The rookie needs to get in here," said fellow wide receiver Roy Williams. "In the long run, though, people need to keep in mind that this is only going to be 10 days or so. He's going to be here for a lot longer than that."
