Post Former Lions player rips team

I don't mean to alarm you, but an NFL player has made a rather stunning statement: The Detroit Lions aren't going in the right direction... That's the word from Rams defensive end James Hall, who spent his first seven seasons in Detroit before being traded to St. Louis. During those seven seasons, Hall had six head coaches, and he thinks that's a sign of trouble in Detroit.

This is funny, because there's going to be a backlash over these comments, and everyone and their mother knows its 100% true!

How can anybody in the organization get mad over this. If you ask me, they have kept their mouths closed long enough

Yeah, that organization needs some kind of a shake-up. Players and coaches just seem to pretend that there is nothing wrong with the way the team is run from top to bottom and it's not benefitting them seemingly cuz they just lose year after year!

The sad thing is, I like the coaching staff they've got. Marianelli's a hard-nosed kind of guy, and Martz is an offensive genius. It's the front office that's really a mess, and it all goes back to you-know-who, our buddy, Matt Millen.

But it always seems like now the Lions have righted the ship and and headed for better days only to follow with a 5-11 type season.

Yep, in the past few years they'd even been dark horse playoff picks for various media types who've fallen in love with what they've done. No change this year, as they're getting credit for having a strong draft and one of the best if not the best offensive player in the draft. Kitna's making bold predictions, and once again, there's hype surrounding this bunch of perennial underachievers. And they'll be 5-11 or 6-10 again.

When they make it to playoffs instead of just being predicted by their players or some sports writers on what they see on paper we'll talk.

Re: Former Lions player rips team

Kitna says they are going to win 10 games this season. He must know something we dont. After all, he is the quarterback.
